DR Power Equipment introduces battery-powered trimmer mower

DR Power Equipment (a Generac Power Systems company) introduced the new PULSE-62V battery-powered trimmer mower.

The PULSE-62V starts easily with the push of a button. The lithium-ion battery lets users mow continuously for up to 40 minutes on a single charge, equivalent to the mowing time achieved with a gallon of gas on other walk-behind trimmer models.

“We were the first to create a ‘trimmer on wheels’ over 30 years ago, and we have continuously updated, improved and innovated that original concept, bringing the world’s first battery-powered trimmer mower to market today,” said Matt Bieber, president of DR Power Equipment. “DR changed the game when we introduced trimmer mowers, and we continue to use our expertise and enduring quality to introduce products consumers crave.”

The DR 62-volt LIPRO battery is the power hub of the PULSE-62V. At 5.0 amp-hours, it recharges in 90 minutes and has two onboard USB ports for charging devices. With an extra fully-charged battery on hand, consumers can double their runtime and mow for up to one hour and 20 minutes. The PULSE battery can also be used to power all the other tools in the full DR line of battery-powered tools (lawn mowers, string trimmer, hedge trimmer, 10-inch chainsaw, and leaf blower). The company is committed to expanding the battery tool line in the near future. One battery and charger is included with the PULSE-62V, however additional batteries and chargers are available at a discount at the time of purchase.

The powerful, 850-watt brushless motor delivers the same rpm and cutting power as gas models – quietly. Consumers can mow any time of the day without disturbing neighbors. The PULSE-62V model uses a customized version of the DR Quick-Lock trimmer head that provides the easiest and fastest cord changing system in the industry.

At 45 pounds, including the battery, the PULSE-62V is the lightest model in the DR trimmer mower line, ideal for trimming and mowing in tight quarters where maneuverability is most important.
