Stihl dealer wins first-ever Spirit of Independents award

On December 6, the owner of a Stihl dealership, with six locations in Ohio and Pennsylvania, was recognized at the North American Retail Hardware Association (NRHA) 2018 State of Independents Conference in Chicago.

Samantha Post, who directly manages one of the T&M Hardware stores, was selected as the first-ever “Spirit of Independents” award honoree for both her work with the Bellevue Initiative for Growth and Revitalization, a non-profit community development organization, and for her tireless efforts to refer and attract customers to other independent businesses in her area.

Independent We Stand and the North American Retail Hardware Association (NRHA) presented Post with the award.

According to Stihl, Post is a great example of a small business owner – like many of the more than 9,000 Stihl servicing dealers – that goes above and beyond to help other small businesses embrace the “buy local” movement.
