EDA fall board meeting recap

The Equipment Dealers Association (EDA) and the Equipment Dealers Foundation (EDF) Boards met in Indian Wells, California in November for their fall board meeting. The meeting was held in conjunction with the Far West Equipment Dealers Association. EDA and EDF board members enjoyed the opportunity to network with and meet dealers from all over the Far West region. Joani Woelfel, CEO of Far West Equipment Dealers Association and Natalie Higgins, VP of Government Relations for EDA, participated in a government relations panel with other industry leaders to brief EDA, EDF and FWEDA members on the ongoing collaboration in the industry on the issue of Right to Repair. In addition, Kim Rominger, CEO of EDA, moderated a manufacturer panel for FWEDA members during the FWEDA convention. During the event, EDA and EDF board members and their spouses paid special tribute to outgoing EDA Chairman and current EDF board member, Brian Carpenter. Carpenter served EDA (and previously NAEDA) for the past 10 years. Carpenter will continue to be active on the EDF board, and currently serves as a member of the Northeast Equipment Dealers Association board of directors. The EDA board of director’s next meeting will be held in March of 2019 in Washington, D.C., in conjunction with EDA’s annual legislative fly-in.
