Chevron introduces Techron Protection Plus
Chevron Products Company, a Chevron U.S.A. Inc. division, introduced its new Techron Protection Plus powersports and small engine fuel system treatment. Following extensive research, development and testing, it’s now available for order by distributors, dealerships and retailers nationwide.
Engineered by Chevron for use in everything from 200-horsepower superbike engines to a wide range of engines in agriculture, construction, equipment rental, lawn care, logging, turf management and countless other industries, this breakthrough additive was put through vigorous testing in the most severe operating conditions. Its proprietary formula optimizes performance, prevents and removes gum and varnish, improves engine responsiveness, reduces emissions and stabilizes fuel to keep it fresh for up to 24 months.
Techron’s latest engine treatment delivers advanced cleaning power by restoring performance and optimizing fuel efficiency as it cleans injectors, throttles bodies, carburetors and combustion chambers. It also dissolves intake valve deposits, gum and varnish buildup, resulting in smoother idling and enhanced throttle response. For maximum effectiveness every time an engine is started, Techron powersports and small engine gets to work upon first application, then keeps cleaning and protecting engines from new deposit accumulation as it is refueled, retreated and run.
Techron powersports and small engine delivers best-in-class corrosion protection while stabilizing fuel up to 24 months. Fuel stabilization is built in with Techron’s proprietary, alcohol- and emulsifier-free formula, which does not contribute to water uptake. Safe for use in all two- and four-stroke engines, it’s ideal for ethanol-free gasoline and equipped to fight off the many harmful effects of low-quality ethanol-blended fuels, from E10 to E85.

With only one ounce of this formula required to treat four gallons of fuel, a little protection goes a long way. Techron powersports and small engine treatment is offered in three sizes to accommodate the needs of distributors, dealerships and enthusiasts. An easily stored 4 oz. size (in a counter display) offers a convenient way to treat up to 16 gallons of fuel; 10 oz. bottles treat 40 gallons; and for the most active enthusiasts, a value-sized, 1-gallon jug treats 512 gallons of fuel.
