Honda Power Equipment bringing Miimo and more to GIE+EXPO 2017

Honda Power Equipment will have a dynamic, interactive presence at GIE+EXPO 2017, highlighting its cutting-edge battery-powered lawn and garden products, portable power products, and updates to its lawnmower lineup.

At its experiential, interactive display in the outdoor demo area, the Honda Power Equipment team, for the first time, will showcase Miimo, the company’s first robotic lawn mower, which was introduced earlier in 2017. Ideal for both residential and commercial applications, Miimo delivers convenient, intelligent mowing, resulting in a consistently maintained, beautiful lawn. This battery-powered mower uses a microcomputer, timer and sensors to provide automated, unattended grass cutting within a lawn area defined by boundary wire. Highlights of Miimo include 3 different programmable cutting patterns with a programmable timer setting, quiet operation and quick recharging. Depending on lawn size and complexity, the 2 available Miimo models make easy work of grass cutting. On a single charge, the HRM310 and HRM520 can cut up to 0.37-acre and 0.75-acre lawns, respectively. Miimo is currently on sale at select Honda Power Equipment dealers in the United States.

The Honda Power Equipment team also will discuss new updates for its HRR and HRS lawn mowers, including updated styling and new wheels that deliver improved traction and wear for both models. The HRS lawn mower also adds a new, higher cut height of 4 inches and a Smart Drive variable-speed transmission. Both mower model lineups are powered by the lightweight Honda GCV160 engine and are easy to start, easy to maneuver, and fuel efficient. Honda HRR lawn mowers deliver easy operation, high performance and superior fuel efficiency. All HRR models include the 3-in-1 Clip Director. With just 1 touch, the operator can quickly switch from mulching to bagging, eliminating the need for a mulch plug. The Honda HRS Series includes 2 side-discharge/mulching models, featuring 21-inch heavy-duty steel mowing decks.

Honda Generators will feature its full line of portable power, as well as charging stations for personal electronic devices should the need arise at the show.

Honda Power Equipment markets a complete line of generators for commercial and consumer applications. Lightweight, compact Honda generators produce 1,000-10,000 watts of power, providing smooth, dependable power for recreation, construction, rental and emergency use.

All Honda generators are powered by advanced Honda 4-stroke engines and incorporate technology that makes Honda generators among the world’s quietest. Honda generators for typical residential use average 64-73 decibels with the Super Quiet Series operating at noise levels as low as 49 decibels — roughly the noise level in a private office.

Honda Power Equipment produces 18 models in 4 generator series, ranging from the EU1000i to the EB10000.
