Kawasaki Engines Division expands 4-cycle engine warranty to include other territories

The Grand Rapids, Mich.-based headquarters for the Engines Division of Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A., has responsibilities beyond U.S. borders, and effective Sept. 1, 2017, the company is instituting a new warranty program for Australia, New Zealand, Central and South America, and U.S. territories. All 4-cycle engine sales occurring in those markets from Sept. 1, 2017, onward will be covered by a 3-year limited warranty.

Tom Moskwa, the division’s director of technical services, quality assurance, and new product development, said this new policy “underscores our confidence in the product line and our commitment to both dealers and end users in these areas.”

Kawasaki’s domestic U.S. warranty program has offered a similar length warranty for several years, and this move brings these other markets into line with existing programs while further strengthening the brand’s competitive position.

The company will repair or replace, free of charge, any engine parts found to be defective, under normal use and proper maintenance for 36 months from the date of purchase, effective Sept. 1, 2017. This offer is contingent on meeting standard usage and maintenance conditions, as delineated in the warranty document.

“This new warranty applies to all 4-cycle engines in our lineup, and the expansion to 3 years of coverage adds even more credibility to the reputation enjoyed by Kawasaki’s engines,” added Moskwa.
