Preview of spoga+gafa 2017

Global garden trade fair spoga+gafa 2017 will be held in Köln, Germany, at the Cologne Exhibition Center on Sunday, Sept. 3, through Tuesday, Sept. 5. The show’s hours will be 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the first two days and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the third and final day.

More than 2,000 exhibitors from 60 countries will be presenting their innovations for the green oasis to almost 40,000 international trade visitors at spoga+gafa. Both big and small garden brands will meet up with important buyers and decision makers from all over the world, and the entire industry will gather information about the current status quo — this is where the garden is at home.

The global exhibition is a decision source of inspiration for the worldwide garden scene. From the fiery barbecue event, to the latest garden furniture and plant trends, through to exciting expert discussion rounds, spoga+gafa will be the place to be for fresh ideas, exciting networking, and a great deal of green business.

During the show, there will be several live presentations. In Hall 6, in the garden creation & care product segment, there will be two theme islands: the Smart Gardening World and the IVG Power Place Battery. The latest technology trends for the balcony, terrace and garden will be presented in an eye-catching manner this year. The exhibitor presences and product presentations, which show the new products and possibilities live and in action, will be enhanced by lectures by international experts on the Technology Stage. True to the motto “Automation is no longer stopping at the garden gate,” the Smart Gardening World will focus on the latest technologies and trends for outdoor lighting, lawn care, safety, BBQs, shade systems, pools and garden irrigation. In the adjacent IVG Power Place Battery, manufacturers will be presenting their battery-run products live.

The theme of plants will be the focus of the POS added value islands. The POS added value islands visualize ideas for the concrete design of retail space for the two sales channels: garden centers and DIY stores. They are intended to serve as inspiration or examples for space in the specialized garden trade, garden centers or in the garden departments of DIY stores. In line with the new “spoga+gafa experience,” the POS added value islands can be visited alone or as a guided tour. On the Boulevard of Ideas, Passage 4/5 and Hall 5.1, up to five such islands will inspire visitors on their way around the fair — each focusing on different trend themes and visualizations. The planned themes are as follows: “Healthier living with plants,” “DIY indoor gardening,” “Edible green,” “Enjoy and experience scents,” and “Cacti.”

There will be a number of exhibitors of interest. These include:
