McCormick USA appoints new CEO

An agricultural equipment industry veteran has been appointed the new CEO of McCormick International USA, Inc., a division of ARGO Tractors and part of ARGO S.p.A., a holding company owned by the Morra family in Italy. And having served in engineering, marketing, product management, technology and business performance leadership positions at CNH and AGCO, Doug Rehor joins McCormick well-prepared for his role as CEO.

“The McCormick brand is firmly established in the United States Ag and rural marketplaces,” said Simeone Morra, president, McCormick International USA. “A full lineup of tractors representing the highest levels of value and quality, coupled with a very strong dealer network, has enabled us to grow our business in this important market. We have enjoyed solid growth as we have focused on expanding our already-strong product offering and strengthening our dealer base. With Doug’s vast knowledge of the equipment industry and the U.S. market, I am very confident he will set a direction for the company that will build on this momentum and further strengthen the McCormick and Landini brands.”

Rehor is embracing his new role with his trademark enthusiasm and a clear vision for the business. “The McCormick name has been around for over 175 years; everyone in this business recognizes it,” he said. “I am honored to be leading a very strong team that continually builds upon that name, and one that is fully dedicated to serving our dealers and their customers.”

“This is a people business; you hear lots of companies say that, but this one truly is, and our equipment is closely tied to the livelihood of those that use it,” added Rehor. “We cannot measure our success only when the customer accepts delivery of our products. We aren’t successful until it has helped the grower, the rancher or the landscaper be successful with their businesses.

“The only way to do that is to provide a great product, and back it up with the strongest customer service focus in the business.”

Rehor served in the U.S. Air Force for several years and later worked in the defense industry before entering the Ag equipment business at then Case Corporation in the mid-1990s. ”I cut my teeth in the precision farming segment, which immediately immersed me in the areas of agronomy and site-specific field management,” said Rehor. “I can think of no better way to gain an understanding of the farming process than to work side-by-side with growers as they plan their applications, measure their harvests, and otherwise run their businesses. You could say that I literally started from the ground up, which built a solid foundation for my experiences in other segments of the business.”

Subsequent roles included leading engineering for implements, sprayers and specialty harvesting equipment at CNH, as well as serving in leadership positions in product management, marketing and business improvement at CNH and AGCO.

“I’ve been fortunate enough to have worked across nearly all areas of the equipment business, and I feel well-prepared to assume my new role,” Rehor said. “The Morra family has shown a great deal of confidence in me, and I am committed to furthering their vision for McCormick USA. I look forward to working with everyone on the McCormick team as we expand our customer base and grow our business in the U.S. Ag and rural marketplace.”
