Deadlines for EETC annual conference quickly approaching
Several deadlines are fast approaching for the Equipment & Engine Training Council (EETC) 21st annual conference, which will be held April 5-8 in Virginia Beach, Va., with Stihl Inc. serving as the conference host and platinum sponsor. They are as follows:
* March 19: Sunday, March 19, is the deadline for the contracted room rate at the Sheraton Virginia Beach Oceanfront Hotel (www.sheratonvirginiabeach.com), which is located at 3501 Atlantic Ave., Virginia Beach, and will serve as the host hotel. The contracted room rate is $134/night, which includes a breakfast buffet. To book a room at the Sheraton Virginia Beach Oceanfront Hotel, call (888) 627-8231 and reference EETC.
* March 20: The application deadline for the EETC’s 2017 Paul H. Scholten Memorial Scholarship Program is Monday, March 20. Five $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to individuals pursuing a certificate or degree in power equipment technology at an EETC-accredited school. Applicants will be judged on their academic achievement, leadership activities and student statement. Preference will be given to qualified applicants who exhibit financial need. The scholarship winners will be announced during the annual conference. Applicants can apply online – and donations can be made — for the Paul H. Scholten Memorial Scholarship Program through the EETC’s website at www.eetc.org.
* April 1: Online registration for the annual conference will be held until Saturday, April 1 – no April Fools Day joke. Registration rates range from $125 to $400, depending on membership status. To register for the annual conference, go to www.eetc.org/event/2017Conference.
