Dakota, a Malamute mix, is looking for a home.

The Outdoor Power Equipment Institute (OPEI) TurfMutt environmental education and stewardship program is a sponsor for the Lucky Dog show that airs as part of ‘CBS Dream Team, It’s Epic!’ on Saturday mornings. A brand-new, heart-warming Lucky Dog episode will air on Saturday, March 11. This episode features a rescue dog named Dakota, who finds his forever home with a great yard, thanks to trainer Brandon McMillan.

This Saturday’s episode includes an appearance by Kris Kiser, president and CEO of OPEI, who works with the adoptive family to ensure their yard is ready for Dakota and talks about the value of a living landscape. He also discusses using adaptive plantings to mitigate the heat island effect.
