Toro announces winner of GIE+EXPO drawing

Edward Smith2Edward Smith of Smith Lawn Service in Booneville, Miss., was selected as the winner of Toro’s mower giveaway during the 2016 Green Industry & Equipment Expo (GIE+EXPO) in Louisville, Ky., and the mower was recently delivered to him. Smith’s new Toro Z Master Professional 6000 Series mower features a 34-hp. Kohler Command Pro EFI 999-cc engine with Horizon Technology, as well as a 72-inch Turbo Force cutting deck.

“I was pretty shocked when I first learned that I had won a new Toro Z Master,” said Smith. “I’ve never used a 72-inch cutting deck before, and I can’t wait to get out there and see how it does. I believe I’ll be able to be much more productive with this new mower as part of my fleet.”

The drawing was limited to eligible landscape contractors, and Smith’s name was randomly selected from hundreds of entries made during the annual show.

“We are excited to get a new Z Master with Horizon Technology into the hands of another landscape contractor,” said Chris Hannan, senior marketing manager for Toro’s residential and landscape contractor businesses. “GIE+EXPO is a great platform to interact with contractors, while highlighting Toro’s newest productivity-improving products. We were pleased to see such participation in our drawing and in the show, which continues to grow in size and scope.”

Smith said he’s looking forward to testing out his mower’s Horizon Technology functionality, which is available on select Z Master 6000 Series models. The machine’s onboard intelligence platform improves fuel efficiency, optimizes productivity, and monitors critical components to save on machine wear by allowing communication between key systems.
