John Deere introduces MulchControl for residential mowers

John Deere now offers a MulchControl option for the 54-inch and 60-inch high-capacity mower decks on select residential riding and zero-turn-radius mowers. The MulchControl option enables users to easily change from mulching to side discharge or bagging by simply moving a lever. This new feature makes mowing more efficient while keeping clippings out of driveways, sidewalks and flowerbeds.

Once installed, the MulchControl lever is conveniently located on top of the mower deck so the operator can quickly engage and disengage mulching. Changing from mulching to side discharge, or vice versa, takes only seconds.

“MulchControl puts the operator in control of the clippings,” said Kim Ridel, product marketing manager at John Deere. “Now, the operator can have all the benefits of mulching with the ability to easily change to side discharge or bagging as conditions require.”

The MulchControl option is currently available for the X700 Signature Series tractors and Z600 Series EZtrak mowers, with expansion to additional models in 2016. For more information, visit www.JohnDeere.com/Residential.
