SEDCO, Inc. and Power Distributors combine operations

Two leading outdoor power equipment distributors, SEDCO, Inc. of Pendergrass, Ga., and Power Distributors of Columbus, Ohio, have agreed to combine their operations effective Oct. 1, 2014.

Independently, the companies have shared a long and successful history of service distribution to the Outdoor Power Equipment industry. Combined, they will blend the talents and resources of both companies to provide a more robust product offering to customers across the eastern United States.

In addition, the combination will deliver broader coverage, enhanced technology, and increased financial strength that will optimize service solutions for customers in all regions. The combination of these two award-winning distributors represents more than 100 years of outdoor power equipment experience.

SEDCO, Inc. is excited to offer its customers the expanded solutions and distribution capabilities of the new, larger company, and expect that this transition will have minimal impact on current service. SEDCO’s current customers will continue to work with their existing account management teams.

Matthew Finn, president of Power Distributors, commented, “We are excited by the opportunity this combination of our two well-established and well-regarded businesses brings to the companies, our employees, and our customers. While our companies are unique, supporting our customers’ evolving business needs is a common goal. Our combined strengths will help us to meet that shared goal through expanded product and service offerings, broader support and innovative, expert business solutions.”

Frank Manno, chairman and president of SEDCO, Inc., added, “We are excited about all the new opportunities that this partnership will bring, now and in the future. The combination makes us both stronger and better positioned to offer our customers a product, service and support experience that is unparalleled in the industry.”
